Moderator's Biography

Dr. Chan Liao Mingi is the Vice President of Jen Ai Medical Foundation, Principal Consultant of Jen Ai Hospital, President of Taichung's Jen Ai Foundation, Ambassador of Patient Safety Movement Foundation in Taiwan, Consultant of the medical center and Taiwan Healthcare Quality Association, pioneer, writer, inspector, blogger/podcaster and educator in patient safety. Dr. Chan Liao received a bachelor's degree from Hiroshima University in 1975 and back to Taiwan after obtained the MD-PhD degree from Kobe University in 1983. He is the registration anesthesiologist both in Taiwan and Japan. His specialty covers anesthesiology, pain medicine, risk management, and patient safety. Dr. Chan Liao was the Superintendent of Jen Ai Hospital-Da Li, Secretary-General of Taiwan Society of Anesthesiologists, President of Taiwan Pain Society, etc. In 2012, he formed the Taiwan Patient Safety Culture Club (TPSCC), and it's recognized as the only non-profit patient advocacy group in Taichung, Taiwan. He has been training many patient safety inspectors over the years to achieve the patient safety mission.
